It’s May, which means the end of the school year is just around the corner. Summer break is always a good time for the kids to have quality time outdoors. If you’re a current resident or looking for a new Marietta home, there are plenty of nearby parks to explore in the area. Here are four Marietta parks to spend time in this summer while you plan your next move. Of course, we hope to help you find the home you want in one of our communities.
Henry Memorial Park
Henry Memorial Park is a 3.5-acre park off Reynolds Street. A perfect place to enjoy the sunshine and time outdoors, the park features two basketball courts and a multi-purpose field. Henry Memorial Park also has a walking trail, picnic gazebo, and a large playground.
Laurel Park
Regardless of their age, Laurel Park has something that everyone in the family will love. Located off GA-120, Laurel Park is a 25-acre park and tennis center. Alongside its 13 tennis courts, the park also has a sand volleyball court, basketball court, and a multi-purpose field. Other features include a walking track, playground, shuffleboard courts, and two ponds.

Tumlin Park
Located off Chestnut Hill Road, your family will enjoy more than 10 acres of outdoor space at Tumlin Park. The kids will especially love the large playground with several slides and swings. Here you will also find two lighted tennis courts and athletic fields. There is plenty of open green space to enjoy a variety of other activities such as kite flying and frisbee. The picnic pavilion has a charcoal grill and outlets, making it the perfect spot to have a gathering with friends and family.
Wildwood Park
Wildwood Park is the perfect Marietta park for dog owners. The 28-acre park off GA-280 has an off-leash dog area with just over an acre of fenced space. Here you will find both a 2.5-mile hiking trail and one-mile jogging trail. The park also has a playground for kids to enjoy.
