We Have a Winner for Atlanta Mission’s Sweepstakes!

Tom Rasmussen is the Grand Prize Winner of the Brock Built Homes and Atlanta Mission Building Hope and a Future Dream Home Sweepstakes!

In fall of last year, we announced our partnership with Atlanta Mission and the Atlanta Housing Authority to donate a new craftsman style Brock Built Home in the amazing, award-winning West Highlands neighborhood in Atlanta.

Since that time, as part of the Building Hope and a Future Dream Home sweepstakes, those who donated to the Atlanta Mission through January 3 received contest entries for the new Brock Built Home to match their level of impact. All proceeds from the sweepstakes entries went directly to Atlanta Mission to fund its Restoration House shelter. Restoration House is an innovative, state-of-the-art, trauma informed low-barrier shelter for women and children experiencing homelessness.

After months of anticipation, we are excited to announce the grand prize winner of the Building Hope and a Future Dream Home Sweepstakes: Tom Rasmussen!

As the grand prize winner, Tom and his family are now the proud owners of the new craftsman style Brock Built Home, which was constructed on land donated by the Atlanta Housing Authority. In addition, Tom received a $6,000 package from Georgia Furniture Mart to choose from a wide variety of furnishings for the new home. In total, the grand prize is valued over $400,000.

When Tom and his family move into their new Brock Built Home, we know they’ll love spending time together on the striking, wraparound front porch and experiencing the same high-quality construction Brock Built Homes has delivered in the Atlanta area since 1984. Built in the master-planned residential community of West Highlands in West Midtown, Tom’s new home features a convenient, rear-loaded garage, energy-efficient appliances, striking finishes, gleaming hard wood floors and high ceilings.

Since 1938, Atlanta Mission has worked tirelessly to provide care and shelter for more than 4,000 women and children experiencing homelessness in our community each year. Brock Built Homes is honored to support this exceptional effort and help raise money for Restoration House, Atlanta Mission’s facility servicing women and children. When complete in the summer of 2021, Restoration House will add 100 new shelter beds and increase Atlanta Mission’s day service capacity by 20%.

We thank everyone who donated to the Building Hope and a Future Dream Home Sweepstakes to help end homelessness in Atlanta. Congratulations to Tom Rasmussen and his family on their brand new Brock Built Home. We can’t wait for them to move in and enjoy it.

It’s not too late to contribute to this amazing cause to increase their capacity at the new Ethel Street shelter. You can support them by donating to Give.AtlantaMission.org
